YOOKiE gets down and dirty with 'WOOKiE' EP out on Wakaan

With five trap-inspired tracks, YOOKiE finally releases their grimy EP that gets dark and dangerous.

A favorite in the EDM community for their constant memes and jokes, YOOKiE just dropped an EP that is dirtier than trash. With five game-changing tracks, the YOOKiE duo has cemented their place as next-level producers in the realm of experimental trap and bass.

Being released on Wakaan, this EP showcases their niche inside the popular record label, carving their own unique place among the talented scene.

WOOKiE has us feeling the bass deep in our chests. The minimalistic bass lines that are constant throughout the EP hearken back to their trap roots, and entrance listeners with each drop.

"For WOOKiE, we went with our signature minimalistic, bass-driven sound, while also introducing a brand new vocal direction," YOOKIE said. "It mains the luscious subsonic depth we are known for with a new element we hope our fans like. A new era of YOOKiE is upon us and we're very grateful to Wakaan for believing in this project."

With releases on Deadbeats, Subsidia Records, Kannibalen Records and more, YOOKiE is backed by an impressive track record. They have also collabed with big names such as Black Tiger Sex Machine, Slander and Zeds Dead.

YOOKiE has performed on some of the biggest stages in the United States, locking in sets at festivals such as EDC Las Vegas and Ever After music festival, and playing in Australia, New Zealand, China and Japan.

Known for dropping their own edits of popular tunes such as their edit of Black Sabbath's Iron Man and ACRAZE's Do It To It, re-works like these always elicit an incredible crowd reaction. We've seen this point solidified as crowds always react with audible gasps and the sought-after, "OHHHH," echoing throughout venues that they play.

If you have never caught a YOOKiE set, we highly recommend you do so, as it is an experience that cannot be described in words, and must be witnessed to understand the hype.

With this EP, YOOKiE continues to propel their career forward, and we are very excited to see what else they do in 2022. WOOKiE can now be listened to on all platforms.
