If you haven't heard this song, you've probably been living under a rock.
Some of the tastiest releases are the ones that we long for the most.
The ones that we hear live, but can't seem to track down. The ones that tease us for months on end.
That is exactly what SQISHI has done with his new release, SUXK MY SQISH. It's a self-released banger that has fans screaming, "Hide the beers."
Within 1 hour of the original announcement on Wednesday, January 29, SQISHI had broke the internet. Comments and shares from the entire dubstep industry helped spread the word that an anthem was coming.
We've heard several artists rinse this song live, including what sound to be remixes of the tune already circulating among beastboi, BLVNKSPVCE, FuntCase, HAMRO, Jiqui, Yookie, Yunit., 7L, and other criminal acts.
Now, as for SQISHI himself, our agents have encountered a rather challenging time getting him to speak. When asked about his creative inspiration behind SUXK MY SQISH, we were left with a 5-word quote.
"Ask my manager about it," SQISHI said.
So, we did what any self-respecting EDM journalist would do, and we asked his manager.
"We are very excited to see his track come to life," said Milton AKA Gram Greene AKA SQISHI's manager. "SQISHI had a fantastic time getting this done and I throughly enjoyed yelling at him for hours to make sure he got it done."
What's a good manager without a little pressure on your client to get things done? The manager's comments, however, did detail a potential threat to the riddim community:
"Go stream and tell your friends or else SQISHI won't see much of the sun in the next coming months," Milton said.
It sounds like the fate of our beloved SQISHI is in your hands, folks. If you don't stream this song, we may not get the pleasure of seeing the lil guy in person ever again.
I can't say that I would miss the booger eating, spilling drinks and general debauchery, but what matters most is that SQISHI knows we have his support.
And while he only provided a five-word quote, we can insinuate that he might have a few more words for people who don't like this song (or him in general): "All you DJs can suck my d*ck."
