Coming off hot from back-to-back Subsidia releases, LA's own proves why Fridays are indeed filthy
Just a few episodes in to season 3, Shoku of Los Angeles dropped a mix that immediately brought out our grime faces on the first drop. Coming off a hot 2020, with features on Subsidia Records, and more recently a self release titled MUHF*CKA, he first showed up on our radar after dropping Next Level on Night Vol. 2.
We were surprised to hear that Deorro is actually the reason he got into production. Shoku said he found inspiration in his successful rebrand from Ton!c to Deorro.
"He changed his name from Ton!c to Deorro; I witnessed his Kinetic Field EDC Las Vegas 2014, that’s when I knew anything was possible," Shoku said. "To watch an artist grow, then make it in the industry. It gave me the hope I needed to become who I am today."
He's also into anime, and referenced Naruto, Dragon Ball and Ace of Diamond as his go-to shows. We are expecting big things on the horizon from Shoku this year. Stay locked, and blast his Riot Control Radio mix on repeat right now.
