Shanghai Doom drops fresh track 'Lightspeed' with dêtre on Bassrush Records

Back in the spotlight with their third single, Shanghai Doom is serving up something fresh.

Shanghai Doom and Dêtre drop 'Lightspped' on Bassrush Records

Straight out of the Garden State, these Jersey lads, Shanghai Doom, have etched their name deep within the experimental bass music scene.

They're the kind of artists who can make your bones rattle and your brain do somersaults with their killer low-end sounds and mind-bending, out-of-left-field vibes.

Their latest release, 'Lightspeed,' brings a fresh and exciting twist. This time, they've teamed up with Detroit's very own hip-hop maestro, dêtre, to deliver a deep experimental bass masterpiece that's bound to get your head nodding.

Imagine this: dêtre's raw, hushed rhymes riding a quirky, spacious hip-hop beat. Just as you groove to his vocals and he drops the line, "I'M FASTER THAN LIGHT B*TCH," Shanghai Doom kicks in, taking you on a wild journey with mind-bending oscillations, gritty textures, earth-shaking bass, and razor-sharp percussion.

Lightspeed marks the first time for us working with an original vocalist. It was a departure from our usual process but ended up going rather smoothly," Shanghai Doom said. "We linked up with dêtre for the vocals and, after only a few brief notes on direction, he was able to nail the vibe we were going for.”

In case you've been living under a rock, Shanghai Doom has been steadily climbing the ranks. They've previously unleashed some serious heat on Bassrush with tracks like 'Wook Flu,' featuring Xotix, and 'Outsiders,' a collab with Runnit.

The big dogs in the game, including This Song Is Sick, Heard It Here First, FuxWithIt, and EDM House Network, have all given them their stamp of approval.

If you're looking to catch Shanghai Doom live - you're in luck because they just kicked off the DEATH MECHANICS co-headling tour alongside Abelation.

This epic tour is making its way through 12 cities across the US, and we're hyped to announce that they're making a pit stop right here in our Mile High City with dêtre and Sharlitz Web on November 16.

We've had Shanghai Doom on our radar since the inception of Dubstep FBI and it's been amazing to see the recognition they've received over the years.

So, if you're in the mood for some bass-heavy, mind-bending beats, Shanghai Doom's Lightspeed is the track you've been waiting for. Trust us, these guys know how to bring the heat.
