Life is chaotic.
Between the stress of work, relationships and the day-to-day, it's easy to feel overwhelmed.
But as ravers, there's one thing that brings us clarity: Music.
For rising dubstep artist Tactix, his vision for life includes using bass music as a tool to help "navigate life's chaos." With that vision, Tactix is applying his production skills in ways that break the boundaries of music and humanity.
Tactix does that via his latest single on High Caliber Records called Dark Thoughts. He revealed that Dark Thoughts was written at a low point in his life where he was battling negativity and fighting internally.
He dedicates this tune to those who are struggling; He wants to reinforce the idea that they are never alone.
In 2019, Tactix dropped his first single. As time passed, he released music on four different record labels. Tactix has also played support for some big names like Barely Alive, Kill the Noise, Levity and more.
There's a bit more behind the story of this inspiring musical journey, though. Tactix told us that the loss of two of his close friends, Dakota and Jeff, who had been by his side since before he was known as Tactix, deeply impacted his music.
"Their presence in my life continues to inspire me and pushes me to grow not just as an artist, but as a person," Tactix said.
Tactix's biggest inspiration is the dynamic duo, Zed's Dead. He stated that he wants to create his own sound that resonates with people from all walks of life with "electric energy."
In earlier years, his inspiration came from drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. This love of making creative beats ultimately grew into producing his own music.
At the end of the day, Tactix said that life is about doing what you love. He's found a family within the music scene we all love.
"The most rewarding part of Tactix has to be the incredible people I’ve met through music—many of whom I now consider family," Tactix said. "Music, in my opinion, is one of the most powerful ways to connect with others, and I absolutely love that about it."
