PREMIERE: Two continents collide with the new DOIL x THRASHA collab

Embers demonstrates what happens when artists from both sides of the globe collide.

Some songs bring a sense of euphoria. Others light a spark of inspiration.

The latest single by  DOIL and THRASHA does just that, and it has us sailing the seven seas of sound.

This sonic investigation features a cross-continent collaboration between Norway's pride, DOIL, and Colorado's own, THRASHA.

These two champions of modern-day, underground bass music have cooked up one of our favorite melodic dubstep tunes yet: It's called Embers and it's a self-release that has piqued our spidey senses.

DOIL is known for his insane sound design, as showcased on several Rude Service releases and in Spotify's Dubstep Don playlist. He's collaborated with Bear Grillz, JEANIE and NVRT, among others, and has an official Spag Heddy remix of Big Noodle Energy.

THRASHA is known as the Colorado cowgirl who just wrapped up a four-show run with Barely Alive in states like California and Texas. She's also playing Sept. 28 with SVDDEN DEATH b2b Prosecute at Club Studio Time, Dubstation Massacre in Waukegan on Oct. 25, and with LEVEL UP at Showbox Seattle on Nov. 30.

Embers sounds like something one would hear while rising into the heights of heaven. A dubstep renaissance of sorts, tugging on our heartstrings with drops of bass. It intertwines cinematic elements with heavy dubstep, and that's what makes it so appealing and artistic.

The song starts out with keys and a mysterious melody, setting an inquisitive scene as we imagine vikings sailing off into the depths of the North Sea.

The build has a scene flashing before our eyes. It's the tough fight where warriors encountered their most pressing challenges; the challenges that advanced their civilizations and allowed them to carry on valiantly.

With the conclusion of the first drop comes a breakdown that marries the mysterious melody with magic vocals. It builds into an otherworldly set of cinematic features. You can clearly hear THRASHA's string work as it shines.

The second drop slams our speakers, and we can't help but nod. Our warriors have courageously joined forces - Norway and America. Two allys in arms.

"I couldn't stop thinking about this song and it was always in the back of my mind for months," THRASHA said. "I was blown away by the end result once we wrapped it up. DOIL is one of my favorite rising talents in the scene and I'm honored that I got to work with him on such a special track."

This song, albeit a brief 2 minutes and 55 seconds, is the pinnacle of a cinematic dubstep landscape that demonstrates what happens when artistic abilities from both sides of the globe collide.

"I’m really excited to get this collab with THRASHA out," DOIL said. "She’s super talented... We both love doing more cinematic-inspired dubstep, so we knew that’s what we had to go for. I am extremely happy with the result."

Listen to Embers for yourself before it drops everywhere at midnight.
