Dubstep FBI is always on the lookout for emerging bass talent, and NOVEMBR shows immense promise as an up-and-comer.

So much so that we have opened a case file on one of the songs from his debut EP, and our agents recommend you listen immediately.

NOVEMBR is emerging from the underground with a trap-infused style and penchant for pushing the limits of bass music.

His song, Lose Control (feat. Charmae), captures those vibes excellently.

The Overtaker EP as a whole reflects NOVEMBR’s myriad of influences, pieced together to create a cohesive work that combines unrestrained energy with a meticulous production style. The EP is out everywhere on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Kicking off with the track, Formation Lap, we see NOVEMBR introduce listeners to the high-octane theme evident throughout the EP.

Following Formation Lap, the artist kicks it up a notch with Full Throttle, a track that certainly lives up to its namesake. Featuring a heart thumping build up and whiteknuckle drop, the track shows true potential as a crowd pleaser and defining moment in the EP.

Midway through the EP, Lose Control reels us back in with a captivating vocal edit from Charmae, accompanied by a mix of uplifting house and menacing trap beats. The track attests to the versatility NOVEMBR’s production style, especially with regard to the overall progression of the EP.

Next up is Slipstream - a dramatic pivot to the fast-paced energy that characterizes the previous tracks. NOVEMBR shares on his Instagram that the track melds old-school trap with a new-school type-beat, a combination that’s clearly fared well with crowds.

The title track, Overtaker featuring Charmae, brings a tidal wave of emotions and aggressive trap beats which endure throughout the track. Its bass heavy and rhythmic style ebbs and flows alongside Charmae’s melodious vocals before coming to a grinding halt to signal the end.

The aptly named finale of the Overtaker EP, Victory Lane, represents the final push at the end of a race - one that seeks to dominate the competition and leave the crowd in awe. Victory Lane is the perfect track to round out a dynamic EP that takes listeners on an exhilarating ride.

NOVEMBR tells us the Overtaker EP is inspired by his willingness to push boundaries as well as his personal affinity for racing, two elements that have helped to form the unadulterated intensity showcased in each track:

"Overtaker, to me, is all about adrenaline and pushing boundaries - in sound, visuals, and spirit," says NOVEMBR. "I have a tendency to feel like I'm always behind, or racing against time. In this project, I set out to make the listener feel like they are winning that race over the course of the six songs."

NOVEMBR describes this EP as a journey, a high-speed pursuit of something bigger.

"I love motorsport, with this project I aimed to capture the rush of racing and bring that energy to the EDM scene," says NOVEMBR.

NOVEMBR’s debut EP release follows a string of opportunities over the last few months, with the artist having played support for a number of artists like RL Grime, Zeke Beats, Champagne Drip, and others. As his project continues to gain more traction, we anticipate we’ll be hearing more from the artist in the coming months.

The Overtaker EP is available for streaming on all major platforms as of today.
