The two producers deliver "waves of melody and tides of harmony," aligning with the melodic side FREAKY showcased earlier in the year.
When this Stryer x FREAKY collab was announced, our jaws dropped to the ground. Not only are two of our most investigated artists working together, but it's coming out on a world renowned label being Lowly.
Their new single, Perfect, is a massive melodic bass track that features soaring euphoric vocals into bass heavy drops. It’s an even collaborative effort between the two bass aficionados that will have fans ready to ride the rail and cry all at once.
Here is your first listen to the song before it lands everywhere at midnight tonight:
This collab comes at a time of huge growth for both artists. FREAKY released his debut album Duality on Subsidia earlier this year, and last month, released Falling to Pieces with VLCN and Sara Benyo.
Stryer will perform this Sunday as direct support for Bear Grillz for his Red Rocks debut alongside Muerte, Stoned Level, Midnight Tyrannosaurus and DJ Diesel. The FBI coverage of that event can be found here.
Not only is Stryer stoked on how the song turned out, but getting to release on such a renowned label is also a highlight for him.
"Perfect was originally an idea I had sitting for over two years and then FREAKY heard it and he was down to hop on the track," Stryer said. "He straight up took the song to the next level, working with him was incredible. I'm also so excited to be releasing the song with him on Lowly, a label I've wanted to release on for years."
FREAKY said there is deeper meaning behind the song, especially found in the lyrics.
"I'm glad I got to create this meaningful record with my buddy Stryer," FREAKY said. "To me, this song is a reminder that our imperfections and negative emotions should never hold weight above all the good in our relationships with others. The main lyrics of the song say 'I guess I'm only worth it, when the weather's perfect,' but true love should have no conditions and it's important to remember that."
