Hamdi drops hotly-anticipated single ‘Counting’ on Deadbeats

The British dubstep sensation comes through with a summer heater for the ages.

Since the release of his smash hit Skanka in 2021, Hamdi has continued to establish himself as one of the most intriguing rising stars in the bass scene.

Following the release of his two-track Selecta EP in April, the Oxford-based producer is back with one of his most infectious tunes to date, titled Counting.

Fans who have attended recent shows from Hamdi will instantly recognize the track’s catchy vocal, which is performed by New York rapper Princess Superstar.

The track kicks into full throttle with a sizzling bassline that has become a signature ingredient of Hamdi’s production. This combined with an expertly-mixed drum pattern makes for an irresistible final product with endless replay value.

Counting has been a mainstay of Hamdi’s recent US tour performances, including stops at 1720 Warehouse in Los Angeles and the Titanic’s End Art Car at EDC Las Vegas. The track is often used as the opener of these sets and brings the crowd’s energy to a fever pitch right from the get-go.

After nearly a decade of garnering respect within the UK underground bass scene, Hamdi has wasted no time ingratiating himself with the larger electronic music community over the past year-plus.

Counting is yet another smasher from Hamdi that is sure to dominate this summer’s festival circuit and beyond.
