With the first of many collabs to come, "Outer Space" proves to be, indeed, spicy.
Ruvlo and Blurrd Vzn just teamed up on their first collab that dropped on the Spicy Bois Record Label. Both artists have had a blazing 2021 so far, with several releases this year already.
San Diego-based duo, Blurrd Vzn, recently dropped a mix on Heard It Here First and has had no shortage of fire music released lately. Our favorite selections include their DNA SoundCloud remix, Top Level on Partica Music Group, Brunch Vzn on Subsidia Records and so much more.
As for Jon Raulo (AKA Ruvlo), he kicked off 2021 with a slapper of a mix on the Riot Control Radio series. He also dropped Dirty on Bassrush Records and Wook Machine on Subsidia Records Dusk Vol. 3. And if that wasn't enough, Ruvlo started a mini tour, already hitting up Florida, Colorado and Texas.
We had the chance to sit down with Blurrd Vzn and Ruvlo to chat about the collab, future plans, working with Spicy Bois and hear their thoughts on shows coming back.
"Working with Blurrd Vzn was so fun", Ruvlo said, “They sent me an idea late last year I threw an idea together relatively quick and threw it back at them and boom- Outer Space was born.”
If you follow Ruvlo on social media, you probably noticed that his profile pic on Instagram was changed to an astronaut, and the title of his EP on Twitter was tied to it.
“The whole astronaut theme I have rolling out is a bit of a hint at my forthcoming debut EP. I’m creating a bit of a universe for myself,” he said.
Blurrd also spoke highly of Spicy Bois and MeSo. Stating that their connection sparked after MeSo was introduced to Blurrd Vzn's music.
"We definitely made a lot of relationships during quarantine with a lot of dope people" Blurrd Vzn said, "We are excited to be getting booked and playing out all of these IDs we've been working on."
