The latest release on Rude Service is an unbelievable collaboration between the Hostage Situation trio and everyone's favorite riddim artist, SweetTooth. It makes us want to throw our grandma’s kitchen chair across the room and run into oncoming traffic.
The single is called Bad Shit, and it's been played out at venues like Mission Ballroom in Denver and other venues in states like Oregon.
The second drop gets wonky. It's that signature Hostage Situation sound, with SwettTooth's screams. This song offers us satiation for our cravings, both wonky and loud.
Our agents were able to detain SweetTooth virtually, asking him how the hell he came up with these lyrics.
"Ok, so the lyrics came from me being an absolute idiot," SweetTooth said. "I just wanted to have record the dumbest thing that’s ever been recorded in my friend’s super expensive studio."
Both he and the Hostage Situation boys linked up twice to perfect this tune, and we think it really captures the tone of the era: Doing bad shit is fun.
